Many years ago, I was introduced to the piano sonatinas of Muzio Clementi

(1752 - 1832: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muzio_Clementi) and learned many of them, having continued to play them some 65+ years hence. Recently, I discovered piano works by Henri Bertini (1798 - 1876: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henri_Bertini) and played through a number of them just for fun. All of this got me to thinking about short, uncomplicated, multi-movement piano compositions that are accessible to pianists without requiring bravura skills or technical wizardry. And so, this little journey has now begun in my life as a composer and, I hope, for the enjoyment of all who hear and/or play them.

Subsequently, I discovered that Clementi had apparently composed some 110 piano sonatinas in his lifetime, thus ever afterwards being hailed "The father of the piano". After composing a half dozen or so myself and enjoying the experience, I thought I would "give him a go". This morning I completed my Sonatina No. 111. Laser-focused during the Covid Pandemic, I had the time (and seclusion) to write this collection of over 1000 pages, my magnum opus for the piano, surpassing Muzio by one! Perhaps there will be a few more as time goes by.
