Some time ago I got the idea to write a few piano  pieces that attempt to emulate the physical characteristics of particular gemstones. These are all quite different from each other and most of them provide a bit of challenging music. Sapphire and Lapis Lazuli are not for the faint-of-heart. Let me know what you think.
